Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
When our dear ones die we feel devastated and sorrowful which is natural, but we are advised not to grieve like those other people who have no hope. Secondly, as people who know Jesus Christ, we must never be ignorant about the issues of life and death since Jesus defeated death in His Resurrection. Thirdly, when death strikes, we should be able to comfort and encourage one another.
There are a number of lessons to be learnt from today’s reading, read it again and see if it speaks to you personally. Is there anything you need to claim or apply in your own life?
Lord God Almighty, thank You for providing a way for us to qualify for and achieve eternal life. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
