Text: Leviticus 23:9-14.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, when you come into the land that I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the Priest,” (verses 9 and 10). The celebration or the festival of the first harvest required the children of Israel to first offer the first fruit of the harvest to the Lord. They would put aside God’s portion first, before they ate any of it. It was mandatory!
Reflect on verses 9 and 10, do you honor God with your first fruit of your business, farms, or monthly pay? What problems do you find that hinder you from giving God as your first priority. How are you going to apply these verses in your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive me for I have not honored you with the resources that you have given me as I
should. Forgive me for cheating you. Amen.
