Text: Psalm 123:1-4
Do you have enemies? Of course you do! The World, the Flesh, and Satan! Whenever you stand up, in faith, to promote the Gospel and what it requires of us, there will always be someone who hates you for it. Our task is to maintain our faith and our mature perspective; for if we are not careful, we can grow to have the same contempt that the world has for us.
That my friend is dangerous poison; therefore, we must always be asking for mercy from our heavenly Father, so that we may endure under the burden of condemnation for the sake of Christ our Saviour. He endured the pain of Hell for us on the Cross; certainly by the Grace and Mercy of our powerful Father we will endure under such pressure to honour and glorify Him. Our spiritual growth depends on a loving Father who desires that we become fully focused on Him and Him alone. This must be our constant prayer always.
Meditate on verses 1-2. How are you going to apply them to your life?
Merciful and Almighty Father, I lift my eyes unto You for mercy, praying that You be my strength and my keeper. In the Mighty name of our Lord
Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen
