Text: Ephesians 6:1-9.
‘Children, obey our parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first command with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land,”’ verses 1 – 3 (ESV). The children should respect their parents with inward reverence as well as outward expressions and acts of obedience. We need to obey our parents especially as they teach us good manners, on health and hygiene and in matters pertaining to God. Then we will be blessed with prosperity and long life.
Reflect on verses 1 -3, how are you going to apply them to your life?
Father, I pray that You will guide me in all ways so that I will obey my parents in all categories I have learnt about. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.
