Text: 2 Kings 15:1-38
In this Chapter, we read about five more evil Kings of Israel (they all were) and two good Kings of Judah. The Kings of Israel continued the policy of idolatry.

Eventually Yahweh brought the powerful Assyrians to initiate the process of ending the northern Kingdom of Israel (v.29) . The two Kings of Judah, Azariah (also named Uzziah, v.32) and his son, Jotham, were good kings, because they loved the Lord. However, they did not remove the places of false worship.

Only eight Kings of Judah “did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh”. But it
was not a full devotion because they did not bring the people to the Lord.
Eventually, Judah will be exiled. To be a successful Church leader today, you must love and obey King Jesus with all your being. But you must also faithfully bring your people to love and obey the Lord. If not, compromise eventually sets in, you will be removed, and the Church will be destroyed.

Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Holy Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ, my desire is to worship You truly and fully. Enable me, I pray, to worship You in spirit and truth. Amen.
