Text: Isaiah 54:1-17
At the time of Isaiah, for a woman not to have a child was a source of disgrace and great shame. In this excerpt, Israel is being compared to an unproductive woman (v.1), but God promises to change the situation, and purge their grief (vv. 6-8). God is calling you to repent and fellowship with Him so that you will be fruitful. Obey the Holy Spirit, receive and believe in God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Meditate on verse 6. How are you going to respond to it?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, take away my grief and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.
