Text: Luke 23:1-56.
Jesus Christ, after He had been arrested, was brought to Herod, among other leaders, for interrogation. Jesus Christ refused to answer him (verse 9). You realise that of all people (leaders) who interrogated Jesus Christ, it was only Herod that Jesus refused to answer. (Cf. Matt. 7:6). Why? This was because Herod had refused the very truth when he heard it from John the Baptist. So it was pointless for Jesus Christ to waste time and begin answering the mocker (Cf. 53:7). Do not waste time with people who are
despising the gospel, people who are out to mock your calling and the message of repentance and forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Meditate on verses 8-9. What is God teaching you in those verses?

Father, I pray for wisdom as I advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. Give me the discernment to keep quiet where it is not critical that I speak. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
