Text: Jeremiah 17:24-27.
“But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem and shall not be quenched,” verse 27. Do you realise that it is mostly out of ignorance and also stubbornness that we defile Sunday every week? Look at Kampala festival, weddings and introductions moreover some from the followers of Christ. We must repent and stop participating in any of such kind taking place on Sunday.
Reflect on verse 27, what is God teaching you in this verse, how are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive us as a Church, for many of us have not represented You well in the community. Most of us have not been salt and light. Instead of being a solution we are part of the problem. Cleanse us with the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen.
