Text: 2 Kings 8:1-29
The Syrian King was sick, so he sent his servant, Hazael, to Prophet Elisha to ask if the King would recover. Elisha said the King would get better from the illness; but Elisha also knew it that Hazael would murder the King, then take the throne of Syria, and terrorize Israel.
Earthly kingdoms are built by human machinations, intrigue, favors, and even murder. It is utterly impossible for the Kingdom of God to be advanced by the efforts of men. Even Jesus Christ, in His earthly ministry, waited upon His Father.

God uses people as His tools, but He builds His Kingdom Himself. No plans
or skills of men can assist or stop the world-wide advance of His Kingdom.
Perhaps you are interested in being a Church leader, do not force your desire.
If God plans for you to be a leader, wait on Him to advance you in the proper way and at the proper time.

Meditate on verse 11. What is God teaching you in this verse? How are you
going to respond to it?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I am ashamed of the evil things I do, give me the ability to walk this life in repentance always. Amen.
