Text: Jeremiah 33:1-13
Jeremiah faced a lot of difficulties as a prophet of God. At one time he was imprisoned for prophesying the truth (32:3). However, the Lord revealed Himself to Jeremiah, assuring him of His presence (v.3). A leader should trust that God is the one who put him in that position and
will not abandon him.
Again, Jeremiah was a shadow of a real prophet of God, Jesus Christ. He suffered much for speaking the truth and at some point, in much distress, His sweat became like great drops of blood falling on the ground as he prayed in agony (Luke 22:44). Even in great agony Jesus Christ trusted that God was with Him. As long as you are in the will of God, God is with you even in distress. You will need to trust and obey Him.
Meditate on Luke 22:46. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, guard me that I may not fall into temptation. Amen.
