Text: Matthew 8:1-34
Jesus Christ healed the leper (vv.1-4); He healed the servant of the Centurion
(v.13), He healed Peter’s mother-in-law (v.15); He calmed the storm (v.26) and He delivered two men from demons (v.29).
Surprisingly in the midst of these astonishing miracles, some people in this
region valued possessions more than the lives of their people, for Jesus is asked to leave after healing two of their relatives (vv.33-34). In some religion, if one gets saved, he is sent away or killed and the one who led him to Christ is in danger of being vilified or, at times, killed. It happened to Paul and Silas (Acts: 16; 16-24).
Meditate on verse 23. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to always look to You. Amen.
