Text: 2 Kings 22:1-20
When Manasseh died, his son, Amon, took the throne. He was also wicked,
and after only two years, he was murdered (v.23) . His son, Josiah, then became King; and he was a good man. Josiah began restoring and repairing the Temple.
During the rebuilding process, the Scriptures which had been neglected for
long, were found and taken to King Josiah. He was grieved by what he heard, and he repented before the Lord.
King Jesus was completely given to loving His Father, to proper worship, and to doing the will of God, according to the Scriptures. What we read about Josiah when he heard the Scriptures is a testimony to the converting power of the Word of God. It is through the message of the Bible that people come to faith in Christ (Rom.10:17). Please, speak to others about the saving work of Jesus.

Meditate on verse 2. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Almighty Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that You help me to remain in Your presence all the days of my life. I choose to worship You, and You alone, and pray that You enable me to speak to others about You. Amen.
