Text: 2 Thessalonians 3:1-18

Paul is commanding the Christians in Thessalonica especially those lazy and disorderly ones that if they do not work then they should not eat (v.10). At the same time Paul is encouraging the working believers not to grow weary in the process of helping the poor in their community. This came up because the working believers were getting disgusted and tired of helping the lazy ones and in the process this was affecting the genuine poor brethren among them. Today many would be givers are cheated in many different ways, and the temptation is to stop giving anyone, this is wrong. Do not get weary of helping the needy in your community because of manipulators and wrong elements that are within.

Meditate on verse 10. How are you going to apply it to your life?

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for Christians to work hard as You bless the works of their hands. I pray for more business ventures coming into the hands of Christians. Amen.
