Text: Matthew 2:1-23
Today there are so many people who masquerade as wise men; foretellers, false prophets, sorcerers, witch doctors, quark doctors etc. It should be appreciated that some of these people acknowledge the power of the wisest; their Creator and Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible approaches wisdom differently, that is, knowledge of God. One time wise men came to seek for the King that was born. They saw a star and interpreted the time. Then when they reached they worshipped the child. They also offered Him treasures (v. 11). We must do what the magi did to be considered wise, visit and seek the Lord.
Meditate on verse 11. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray that You will spark my knowledge and wisdom to become like that of the Magi who sought after You. That I will leave all and seek You always. In Your name, Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
