Text: John 21:4-19.
Today’s reading has two lessons for us. The first is about Peter and the other disciples going back to fishing and catching no fish, but because
the Lord said so, they cast their net and catch a lot of fish. Then Jesus prepares a roasted fish breakfast for them! The second lesson is a reconciliatory discourse between Peter and Jesus Christ to counteract the three times Peter had denied Him.
What lesson do you learn from this reading? Is there something from the text you need to thank God for? Is there anything you need to apply in your personal life? What would you feel if you were Peter answering the same question three times?
Lord God, in Jesus Christ our Lord, teach us to diligently follow Your example all the time. Amen.
