Text: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13.
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”, verse 4 – 7. Where there is sin or imperfection, let there be room for forbearance.
Remember, there is no perfect wife or husband. These are two sinners who have come to live together. Therefore affection demands that the two should immediately point out faults but with the meekness of wisdom, united in tenderness of love or else they will only increase the evil they intended to subdue.
Reflect on verses 4 to 7, what is God teaching you in these verses? How are you going to apply them to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give love, true love that is not selfish but that which rejoices with the truth. Amen.
