Text: Isaiah 56:1-12.
“Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil”, verse 2.
A godly father avoids working on the Lord’s Day; Sunday, except for the works of mercy and necessity, like medical emergencies. A godly
father looks forward to both private and public worship. Many people have profaned the Lord’s Day. These include the fathers. In many areas, Sundays now are treated like any another working day. Honor Sunday by going to Bible believing Churches where Jesus Christ is worshipped and glorified for worship and prayer. Read godly books, fellowship and witness for Christ and rest.
Reflect on verse 2, how have you treated Sundays in your family, is it like any other working day? Repent, honour Sundays and disciple your
household to do the same.
Father, forgive us as a community and individually for we have always profaned Your day; Sunday, and treated it as any other day.
