2019 is the year of glad tidings with transitions into new seasons. Phase 2 is now completed and the temporary scaffolding is coming down. You can now see full view of the Altar area and the Cross at the tip of the 12-floor Bell/Prayer tower. We concluded cost re-measurement for the entire structure up to roofing stage and the Cathedral will be able to settle all due obligations to the Contractor and Consultants, without deficit. Praise the Lord.

The Cathedral Council has now authorised execution of the subsequent scope of civil works, furnishing, fittings and equipment Installations in Lots of small modest values which will be sequential or concurrent as appropriate, under phase 3. It is desired that the new Sanctuary can be made usable as soon as possible. We are now compiling the scope and specifications for Lot 1 of phase 3 to include: Wall Plastering, Floor finishes, Windows and Doors (excluding Lower ground/ Offices) and Ceiling Works; for tendering.

The Provost now requests:
( a) “In-house” professionals within the Cathedral and are knowledgeable in Church Interior designing, renewable energy, audio-visual Industry, security and fire safety Installations to register with the ACP Secretariat so as to be co-opted to support technical team with expert inputs into the next steps of the project;
(b) “In-kind” offers of Cement, Ceramic/Porcelain/Wood tiles, Sand and terrazzo supplies to be used for Common works of wall and floor finishes. Details of specific requirements and specifications will be available at the ACP Secretariat
