– Less Cash at hand: UGX 3,203,553,964
– Amount to raise for Phase 2 works UGX 1,011,413,136 [US$ 372,355].
B) Technical Status:
2018 was a year of great favour from our Lord God regarding ACP project. Our theme was “WE ARE ROOFING this year” Glory to God that the two galleries were completed along the year while the Bell [and Prayer] Tower is now at the top 12th level as planned.
Roofing works are well advanced, the lower roof structure is done while hoisting of central section roof trusses is on goinvg. The heavy duty steel roof trusses being fixed are quite heavy for structural design integrity purposes that the process of hoisting them has been much slower than anticipated. Consequently our earlier intention to cover the roof in time for Christmas celebrations 2018 was not possible.We expect to cover the roof in clay tiles; fix harvesting and various roof accessories including six lighting and pergola during the first quarter 2019. We further pray that the new Cathedral Sanctuary will also be closed and finishes started along in 2019.
