ACP Update (Sunday 2nd July 2017)

Today 2nd July 2017 is ACP Sunday, Phase 2 works are progressing on schedule. The ACP Team extends gratitude and blessings for all the contributions, prayers and desire to raise the sanctuary of God.
Phase 2 Goal
- Planned completion date: August 2018
- Scope: Structural Walls, Office Layout, Two Galleries, Windows, Doors, Bell Tower and Roofing
- Financier: God working through his people.
A. Financial Status
- Project Cost (Contractor, Consultant and VAT): UGX 7.1 Billion
- Amount Raised:UGX 2,689,881,768
- Balance to be raised: UGX4,410,118,232.
- Monthly Fundraising Target: UGX 306 million
- Amount collected in June 2017 : UGX 178,021,550
- Balance of amount not collected in June 2017: UGX 127,978,450
B. Technical Status
The tractors are indeed roaring at site. Casting concrete for structural walls has commenced for bell tower, wardens room and choir preparatory rooms. Steel fixing continues for the main columns and the 26-metre-high slanting walls. Setting out for baptistery and lift areas are on going.The Cathedral Management requests for your understanding and patience as we face some inconveniences and limited parking areas, all for the good of God’s work among us.
All parishioners are encouraged to participate in project monitoring and site inspections as the works progress. The second site meeting was held 2-days ago, on Friday 30/06/2017.
Site meetings will be held every last Friday of the month to meet the Contractor and Consultant to jointly review progress, share key project information and discuss any challenges encountered.
We would like to thank each one of YOU who has given more than 10 million, millions, thousands and hundreds. Your labour is NOT in vain. We are introducing a new campaign called PURPLE GIDEON BAG (PGB). All purple bag collections will be considered as Gideons. Please give at least 10,000 or more in the purple bag.
