Text: 1 Peter 3:8-22.
“But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense for anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame,” verses 15-16. (ESV). As you serve the Lord, you will be slandered, however, keep your conduct above reproach. Let your enemies be embarrassed by their baseless accusations. Do not let your lifestyle give your enemies ammunition to be used against you.
Reflect on verses 15 and 16, what is God teaching you in these verses, and how are you going to apply them to your life and family?
Father, I pray for victory over any temptations so that my life may serve as testimony to encourage others and glorify Your great name. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
