Text: Joel 3:1-21
In this chapter Joel is prophesying against nations that are enemies of Judah and Jerusalem (v.2). “At that time”, refers to the time when those calling on the Lord are being saved. The prophecy consists of three fulfillments: (1). There is an immediate happening which can apply to King Jehoshaphat in his victory over his enemy nations including Moab and Ammon (2 Chron. 20); (2). It has partial restoration as people come to the land from exile in Babylon; (3). The final fulfillment will come when the Messiah comes to reign on new earth.

Joel who began with the prophecy of judgement and destruction of the land
ends with the prophecy of restoration (v.21). At first his emphasis was on
repentance and he ends with the message of forgiveness. His message speaks to us today, let us avoid complacency and turn to the Living God. Let us receive Jesus Christ by faith as our Saviour and Lord.

Meditate on verse 21. How are you going to respond to it?
Father, I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. In the name of Jesus
Christ I have prayed. Amen.
