Text: Jeremiah 33:1-26
This chapter is confirming the promises regarding the restoration of Jews
despite the pain they are experiencing. God is assuring Jeremiah that should he ask Him, God will answer him. God answers prayers. God also takes care of our needs, without us praying. However, by asking we acknowledge that God alone is powerful and our strength is nothing (v.3). We must humble ourselves, trust and obey God.
Again Jeremiah points to the first and second coming of Christ (vv.15-16). In
the first coming Christ would (which He did) set up His Kingdom in the hearts of those who accepted Him as their Saviour and in the second coming He will establish justice and righteousness on the new earth. Accept the Lord’s Kingdom in your heart through Jesus Christ.
Meditate on verse 6. What is God teaching you in this verse?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, equip me to be prepared and ready when You come again to establish justice and righteousness on earth. Amen.
