Text: Psalm 101:1-8
This Psalm was written by David as a solemn vow to the Lord when he was
put in charge of the family and the kingdom. It is a Psalm modeling excellent
leadership and governance. One can also say that it is a head of family’s Psalm.
The Psalm shows how the leader (king) should behave (vv. 1-2), the things a
leader should avoid (vv. 3-4) and the way the society or nation should conduct
itself (vv. 5-8).
Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that I will not set my eyes on any wicked thing or speak or do anything that dishonors Your Name. Amen.
