Text: 1 John 1:1-10
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life,” verse 1(NKJV). Unlike in John 1:1, here “from the beginning” refers to the beginning of the preaching of the gospel. John uses phrases like “we have heard, we have seen, we have looked upon and our hands have handled” to show that even at his old age he could vividly recollect the person of Jesus Christ. The memories were so strong that it looked like the events had just happened. The phrases strongly affirm that Jesus Christ indeed appeared in a physical form because the spirit cannot be touched or gazed at.

Meditate on verse 3. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to always have fellowship with You. Amen.
