Unlocking Your Destiny; The call to Repentance

It is the desire of God for the family to blossom. The call to repentance therefore comes in a context of God grooming marriages and the family to walk in God’s ways.
The Bible commands repentance. It is turning towards God by turning away from your ways. In (Ezek.14:6) the Prophet calls people to turn from their idols and renounce all their detestable practices.
To repent and to convert involves obedience to God’s revealed will, placing trust in him turning away from all evil and ungodliness. Each person was “to turn from his wicked evil way” (Jer.26:3).
In the N.T the term for repentance, implies “a change of mind” and regret.
God wants us to change our mind that has conformed to the secular worldview, and focus on the biblical world view. Jesus preached repentance (Matt.4:17). In fact, Jesus’ mission is well stipulated in (Luke 5:31-32). “It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
The bible is clear that there is both genuine and false repentance. Twice Pharaoh told Moses “I have sinned (Exod.9:27; 10:16) but he did not truly repent.
Today, I invite you to repent and come back to God in truth. If we want to be right before God, we must make sure that our repentance is genuine.
Genuine repentance must be primarily toward God. In (Ezra 10:1) Ezra was prostrating himself and praying, “before the house of God” Shecaniah admits in (Ezra 10:2) “we have been unfaithful to our God”.
May the Lord unlock your destiny, today as you bring repentance genuinely to him in many areas of your life, in Jesus’ name!!
