Text: Genesis 8:1-22.
Noah, his family, and the animals were in the ark for one year. After the storm, the waters dried up off the surface of the earth, and all the living beings in the ark left safely and returned to the earth. God had fulfilled His promise. God has given a similar promise to us – eternal life. In this life we wait long, but God will fulfill His promise, as He did for Noah. Jesus Christ, our ark, brings us safely through the storm of God’s wrath and He will deliver us safely into eternal life. Though this present life is often difficult and seems never-ending, persevere, stay close to Jesus. God will bring you safely through to the end.
Meditate on verses 13-20. How are going to apply verse 20 to your life and family?
My heavenly Father, I pray that many families will be able to establish family prayer altars. I pray that families will worship You in spirit and in truth. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
