Text; Matthew 12:1-14.
“But you would not have condemned my innocent disciples if you knew the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices,’” verse7 (LASB). The resting day, Sunday, does not mean to be idle and disorderly. Other than common worship on that day, you are permitted to do works of mercy for example, visit and pray with the sick and bereaved. Treat the sick.
Reflection on verse 7, what is God teaching you in this verse, and how are you going to apply to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to do works of mercy to those who are in need. Amen.
