Text Acts 2:37-41.
“So those who received his word were baptized, and they were added that day about three thousand souls,” verse 41(ESV). The first converts ever recorded after Peter’s sermon were received and baptized on the first day of the week. This is to emphasise that after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the day of rest and worship changed from seventh, Saturday to first day of the week, Sunday.
