Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-58.
“Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory,” verses 49, 54 (ESV).Many people have been heard to say over the years that they are not convinced that God truly loves them. Oh, what a terrible lie from Satan! The very fact that Jesus would choose to become a man in obedience to the Father’s will is truly amazing! Even if he had never suffered on the cross in our place, this would still remain as the one event that proved that God loves His very own image. But, praise God, Jesus did indeed suffer in our place, and as a result the curse of death is removed! How do I know? He is Risen! He Reigns!
He has sent His very own Spirit into our souls so that we could be united to Him in a wonderful way. This union with Christ isn’t some type of complicated philosophy. No, this is true reality. This isn’t some type of computer magic put together via software to trick your eyes into seeing a magical thing. Your future has been bought and paid for! It’s guaranteed!

Unfortunately there are very powerful people in the world who want to take the miracles and prophetic power of the Gospel and turn them into amazing “myth”. In doing so, they turn the truth of God’s Word into a simple piece of entertainment “magic”. This is truly what so much of media does. What happens to our minds is that we no longer are amazed by the power and presence of God, but yet find comfort in only being entertained. How dangerous it is to let our minds go asleep by this! Praise God that He values you and I, and is so in love with His creation that He will one day restore and bring a new creation to Himself. Praise the Lord!
Meditate on verse 58. What truth are you learning from this verse?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for defeating the devil for me. Amen.
