Text: 2 Corinthians 6:3-10.
The Lord expects our lives and lifestyle to aid the ministry of reconciliation.
The messenger may distort the message or a marketer may fail the very product he/she is meant to sell if their lives contradict their profession. It is possible for an ambassador to engage in activities that are incompatible with his/her status. May the Lord qualify us in every way to be the kind of messengers that enhance the message.
Being reconciled to God means /implies that the legal, moral, spiritual barriers have been dealt with and removed. Heaven held sinful man as
a debtor. Satan had legal claim over rulership of the world since he had got it from Adam-that he even had the keys of hell! God in His mercy
paid the price for man’s freedom, and the righteous demands, as well as the legal claims of the devil over man are no longer obstacles. It is now possible for a formerly rebellious man to relate with God as a member of His family by Spiritual birth-second birth! This is great news indeed. As ambassadors of reconciliation, we too ought not to put any road blocks on anyone’s path on their journey to becoming reconciled to GOD AND TO ONE ANOTHER!
Reflect on verse 3, is your life style in consistence with your profession? How are you going to apply it to your life?
My heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to live a life that reflects Your love and forgiveness. Amen.
