Text: Proverbs 27:1-10.
“Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home”, verse 8. When a bird strays from its nest, its eggs or young ones are neglected. So if a partner strays from home that home is neglected. This can easily lead to incidents of juvenile delinquency and other social ills.
Many spouses today have abandoned their homes for studies, work and many other seemingly good excuses, and family members are hurting.
Reflect on verse 8, what is God teaching you in this verse? Are you one of those straying from their homes? How are you going to apply this verse to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for husbands and wives to be together in their marital homes. I pray for commitment to each other. Amen.
