Text: Matthew 4: 1-11.
“…All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me”, verse 9. The devil set out to divert Jesus Christ from fulfilling His mission as
the Messiah. The tactics are all the same; lies and deception. Thank God, Jesus Christ overcame and is seated at the right hand of God, the
Father. He is coming again to judge the living and the dead. Are you ready? You will be ready only in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
Even today, the devil still entices the whole world with material wealth and money. And many are trapped by this. The gruesome killing of
children and adults is all done to worship the devil and gain material wealth. Unfortunately, you will never be happy with such wealth and
in the end the devil kills you and you end up in eternal hell. Only hide yourself in Jesus Christ.
Reflect on verse 9, what is God teaching you in this verse?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give me the spirit of discernment.
Help me to resist the devil and all his schemes. Amen.
