Text: Matthew 11:16-30
As we read earlier in Chapter 9, Jesus Christ chose Capernaum to be the headquarters of His earthly ministry. No where is it recorded that the residents of that town/ city ever mocked or chased Jesus Christ out of that city, as it happened in some other towns, for example, his own town of Nazareth (Luke 4.28-30). But Jesus Christ says it would be worse for Capernaum than Sodom in terms of judgmental disobedience to God.

Why? Because of the indifference in attitude of the people to God and His Gospel (vv.23-24). Repent that sin of indifference and embrace the gospel and be active in the ministry of evangelism and discipleship.

Meditate on verses 29-30. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Our Lord God of benevolence and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray that You bless me with a heart that casts all my fears on You; so that the sin of indifference to Your Gospel is dispelled from my life. Amen.
