Brethren Shalom!!! Last Sunday we shared on the topic: There’s hope for the righteous Isaiah 40:27-31, Matthew 11:28-30. As you approach the Lord, there’s need for you to have faith and know that there’s hope for you, your family, career, business among others; The Lord took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, you only need to have hope in Him. After the fall of man, hopelessness found its way into man because of sin but through Jesus Christ hope has been restored. Hope is the confident expression of what God has promised to do. This is because hope derives its strength from the fact that God is faithful and because HE is faithful therefore I have hope. Biblical hope doesn’t only desire something good for the future but means expecting great things from the Lord. There are many believers who always believe in a negative report, therefore there’s need to have hope in the Lord who can destroy the purposes of the enemy over your life thus the need to have a positive report by believing the Lord just like Caleb did after spying the land of Canaan.

Three reasons as to why there’s for hope of the righteous:
1) Because God can reverse the irreversible; God can reverse circumstances to their original state, in the dictionary of God there is no impossibility. For God can do all things, God makes a way in the whirl wind and a storm. King Hezekiah cried to the lord and he was healed and given more years to live. I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is there anything too hard for me? God’s name has no track record of failure. God can reverse dead situations just like He did for Lazarus and the widows’ son who were dead and restored to life.
2) Because you will receive first hand information from God. God is in the
business of revealing first hand information to guide you on how you should live here on earth; for he surely has a plan for you. Once you inquire from the Lord, He will surely guide and enable you distinguish the truth from lies.
3) When you Stop mocking God; Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked, for whatever one sows, he reaps. There’s need to align your life to the standards of God. Live a life that honors God. There is no hope for you if you are living in sin. You cannot leave your Bible study and live a well planned life; you cannot plan a divorce and expect to leave a happy life thereafter. Therefore, there is no hope for you living in sin until you repent.

Guidelines and Questions
1) Referring to any given situation in your life, share testimonies as a result of having hope in the LORD.
2) Where have we failed as Christians in regard to not having hope in LORD?
