Text: Matthew 5:13-48
Jesus again focuses on exhortation stating that “You are the salt… light..”
(vv.13-14, ESV) .Your influence is therefore eminent. Salt influences the taste
and preserves foods. Light influences sight and brightness. They are all key to life. As a follower of Christ, you are the salt; therefore, preserve righteousness and holiness in Christ and avoid decay through corruption.
Meditate on verse 16. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ help me to walk in righteousness in this
dark world of sin. Amen.
