Texts: Matthew 28:9, Mark 16:9; Luke 24; John 20:19-23.
“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “peace be with you,” verse19 (ESV).
As if the Lord was deliberate in establishing new wine(New covenant and its provisions) in new wine skin-(a new tradition and ceremonies and dates) Jesus Christ not only rose from the dead on the first day of the week which is Sunday, He also appeared to His disciples on the first day of the week.
Reflection on John 20:19, the doors were locked but Jesus Christ appeared to them in physical body, how can you explain it? What else are you learning from this verse?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for teaching me this truth. I pray that You continue to open my spiritual eyes so that I see things Your way. Amen.
