Text: 1 Corinthians 16:1-24.
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love,” verse 13-14 (NKJV). Paul directed the Corinthians to be; 1. Watchful or alert, because spiritual enemies could easily infiltrate them with wrong teachings and deceive many; 2. To stand fast or firm in the gospel that brings salvation; 3. To be brave and stand against false teachers and deal with sin in the Church; 4. To be strong as they were empowered by the Holy Spirit and not the strength of the flesh. 5. To do everything in love, for love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). You will be able to apply the above points only if you are in Jesus Christ!
Meditate on verses 13-14. How are you going to apply them to your life?
Father, give me the ability to watch and stand firm in the true gospel of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
