Text: Luke 21:1-11.
“While Jesus was in the temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box. Then the poor widow came by and dropped in two small coin,” verses 1 and 2. (LASB). Jesus Christ decided to watch as people dropped their gifts in the collection box. He had chosen a seat in an area of the temple called the court of women. In this area there were thirteen boxes; seven to collect temple tax, and six for free will offering. And this particular lady chose to drop two small copper coins in the free will box. She realised that even those two small coins of hers had come from the Lord. Jesus Christ recommends her highly not because she gave much, but because of her attitude in giving back to God.
Reflect on verse 2, what is God teaching you in this verse, and how are you going to apply it to your life?

Father, forgive me for my poor giving attitude. Thank You for the many who have given, especially from the fruit of their own labour.

Father I pray that You multiply their blessings, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
