Text: Matthew 19:1-30
When people brought children to Jesus for His blessings, His disciples rebuked them (v.13), but Jesus allowed the children to come to Him (v.14). The children were being stopped because they were considered less important in society.
Jesus allowed them because salvation is by grace only, no one can work for it.
Therefore, the dependence attitude of children qualifies them for covenant blessings.
Surprisingly, earlier on, Jesus had just told the very disciples that they need to be like children in order to enter the Kingdom of heaven (18:3). Let your dependence on God be like that of little ones who depend on adults for everything they want.

Meditate on verse 14. How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to draw many of Your children to You. Amen.
