Text: Job 42:1-17
Job humbly repents of his foolishness in wanting to question God the way he did. God is the Sovereign and Job is just a creature. Yahweh tells the three friends that He is not pleased with what they said. Their beliefs about God were wrong. So, He instructs them to bring a sacrifice to His priest Job, and Job will intercede for them. Yahweh then restored to Job, double of everything that was destroyed.

God is not pleased with the thoughts that people naturally have about Him, they are against Him. So, He sent His eternal Son to be a Priest for the ones He would save. After Jesus lived a perfect life pleasing to the Father, He then paid His people’s death penalty. On the third day the Father raised Him back to life and made Him the heir of all things and High Priest for His people. If you trust Jesus to be your Saviour, and love Him with all your being, you will one day be raised to eternal life with Him, where you will be a co-heir with Christ. This world is not your home, and one day it will end. So, do not set your affections on this life but on the things of Christ and His eternal Kingdom.

Meditate on verses 5-6. How are you going to apply them to your life?
My heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for revealing
Yourself to me. I repent of all my sins, forgive me. Amen.
