Texts: Isaiah 43:1-13; Jeremiah 14:22; Deut.26:7.
“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the LORD. “You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God – there never has been, and there never will be”, verse 10 (LASB). The children of Israel were tasked to witness for God and let people know that there was one true God, Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As a Christian, you must know and believe that there is only one true God; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. You must also confidently say there is one true God. And, that you see Him only through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
Reflect on verse 10, what does God teach you in this verse, and how are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive us as a nation for we have worshiped other gods other than You, the Creator. In Your judgment Father, have mercy on us. Amen.
