Text: 1 Timothy 4:1-16.
A good servant of the Lord must be trained in the words of faith and of good doctrine (v.6). Many people today are running to various “pastors” or teachers of the “Word”, and they have been led astray because these false teachers do not teach the Bible truth, instead they preach what people want to hear. They focus people on things below (wealth and health), instead of things above (eternal life). Avoid those false teachers who are promoting the theology of numbers (numerology), stars and new moon and promotion of Judaism (v.7).
Meditate on verse 7. How are you going to apply it to your life and family?
Lord God Almighty, help me to identify and be able to avoid false teachers of today. I pray for those who are lost that through the truth they maybe redeemed. In Your name Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.
