Matthew 3: 13-17
Jesus is the one that sought out John the Baptist and He went from Galilee to
the Jordan River for this. The issue becomes the humility of Jesus seeking out John to be baptised by him. In verse 14, John tried to deter him, saying, “…I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” Again, the humility of Jesus made him respond that, “…Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness” (v.15, ESV). John consented. There were witnesses to this baptism and at that moment as the heaven opened and the Spirit of God descended like a dove and settled on Him.

Meditate on verses 16-17. What are you observing in these verses?
Father, thank You for the message of the trinity; the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit. Thank You for this oneness and unity. Help Your Church to be one in Christ. Amen.
