Text: Romans 7:1-25.
“For I know that in me [that is, in my flesh] nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find” verse 18 [NKJV]. For the Christian, the flesh acts as a launching pad from which sin operates due to its nature. At present the believers’ flesh is not yet redeemed that is why you and me still struggle with sin despite our justification in Christ.

That is why it is important to put up guards as a Christian or else you fall with a bang! God graciously imputes on us Christians, the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Through Christ, God sees us righteous people, not of our own but of Jesus Christ. Righteousness is
right standing with God.

Meditate on verses 24-25. How are you going to apply them to your life?

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to defeat all temptations that come through the flesh, the devil and worldly desires. Amen.
