Text: Acts 20:11-38.
“…It is more blessed to give than to receive,’” verse 35 (ESV). We are created in the image of God and these words of Jesus Christ, which are not recorded in the gospels, make us to be more like God who gives to every one yet He does not receive from anyone. You are more blessed to give your pain than receiving a payment for it. It honors the Lord to do good for the ungrateful.
This makes God to be your master. And our God pays well!
Reflect on verse 35, how are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive me for the wrong motives I have harboured while giving. Make me a blessing to many people.
