Text: James 4: 1-12.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”, verse 7. The devil can only do what God gives him permission to do [Job 1:12]. The devil is already defeated but he still entices us to bite his bait, but with the power of the Holy spirit we can resist him and he will flee from us.
Reflect on verse 7, is there an area in your life right now where the devil is tempting you unrelentingly? Resist in the power of the Holy Spirit and he will flee from you!
My heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who is with me always. Help me to obey Him in the name Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
