Text: 1 Samuel 2: 1-11.
“The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts,” verse 7 (ESV). Do not fail to give because you fear that you will be poor, wealth and poverty all come from God. If you are rich do not be proud, it is by God’s grace that you are rich not because of any uniqueness in you as you may imagine.
Do not steal thinking that this will make you rich, instead work hard and trust God for riches. His will is the best for you.
Reflect on verse 7, what is God teaching you in this verse? How are you going to apply it to your life?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive me for the pride that has overcome me because of what You have given me. Amen.
