Text: Genesis 3:1-19.
“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall
bruise her heel,” (verse 15). Since God is talking to the woman and the serpent, and to the serpent in particular, one would expect to use, she
shall, and instead of he shall bruise. However, we see God graciously taking the responsibility to revenge for the woman promising that the
Savior, His Son, will one day in future defeat the devil, Satan. And indeed the devil was defeated on the cross through the death of Jesus
Christ. (John 19:30). In Christ you are victorious.

Reflect on verse 15, what lessons are you learning from this verse?

Father, thank You for Jesus Christ, Your only Son who defeated the devil on the cross. Thank You for redeeming me by Your grace for I never deserved it, in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
