Text: 2 Peter 1: 16-21.
The Bible is the true Word of God and it is the final authority over everything else. God used specific men to write the Scriptures and divinely guarded against any human error. Therefore any teaching outside the Bible is suspect and should be avoided at all costs.
Emotions may rise, psychological pressure may be applied on you intentionally or innocently by someone’s preaching, but if it is outside the authority of the Scripture it is hollow and sham! Many Christians today are lost in dreams, “prophecy” and their “interpretations”. Dreams and their interpretations may, and have led many astray. (Deuteronomy 13:1-3). Please, rely on the truth, the Word of God.
Reflect on verse 21, how do you understand this verse?
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank You for Your Word of truth. I pray that this truth will be revealed to Your people so that they are set free. Amen.
